Learning and Development Manager
Amber has more than ten years of experience in public accounting serving a variety of companies, ranging from privately held companies to large, public companies with a focus in real estate, financial services, and restaurant industries. She also assist public companies with 10-K, 10-Q and other SEC filings and has experience with SEC annual surprise examinations and the related rules and regulations for registered investment advisers.
Amber started her career at a mid-size firm specializing in financial services, specifically hedge funds and fund of funds ranging from $20 million to $150 million in assets, including registered investment advisers, providing both tax and audit services. She obtained industry experience working with a growing and transitioning $500 million web hosting and domain company before returning to public accounting by working at BKMSH.
In addition to servicing clients at BKMSH, Amber manages the learning and development program and uses her strengths in organization and attention to detail to assist with various administrative projects at the firm from software implementation to HR functions. She is also a graduate of the Dallas CPA Society’s Leadership Development Academy.
