Karl Schwabauer oversees the Forensic, Valuation and Litigation Services practice of BKM Sowan Horan. He has extensive experience providing forensic accounting, economic damages and valuation services, and testifying as an expert at trial, deposition, arbitration and as a court-appointed expert in support of the work he has performed. Specifically, Mr. Schwabauer has provided expert services in conjunction with matters relating to fraud or financial misrepresentation, fraudulent transfers, accounting issues, breach of fiduciary duties, diversion of assets, contract disputes, purchase and buy/sell agreement disputes, shareholder/partner disputes, minority shareholder oppression, insurance disputes, intellectual property disputes, M&A disputes, and valuation and solvency issues. He has served as a Receiver numerous times.

Mr. Schwabauer has extensive experience providing valuation services for non-litigation purposes. Additionally, Mr. Schwabauer has a background as an accounting and tax practitioner in numerous areas including, corporate, partnership and individual tax, as well as estates and trusts.

Karl is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the American Bar Association – Business Law and Litigation Section.
